In all likelihood the 2017 election to the Kithore assembly seat will be a keenly contested one in which the BJP enjoys the edge. In 2014, the BJP had secured a lead of 31846 votes over its nearest BSP rival in the Kithore assembly segment. SP’s Shahid Manzoor was relegated to the third spot.
